I can tell you. I LONG TIME!!!
Really I don't know how I am going to pull off this game board! Right now I have no end goal.
To be honest I have to many ideas for this "clue style" game.
So let me enlighten you with my frustration…LOL
In one hand I have this drive to destroy all the pieces I have made and literally start over.
But at the same time I think I could add more stuff to the game. If I follow this second option I would add more description to the clues that way people whoa are just starting to learn the organs know more.
So, maybe I could give the player a card with an organ and then give a brief explanation of what it is and based on that and a map of the position of the organ describe see what other organ is affected or is causing the defect on the rest.
The Organ Map will look something like this but prettier
:D
I like that you are adding descriptions about certain organs on the back of the cards - it's a great way to educate people and even teach young children! One suggestion: for the game, you can have different human body "maps" in which each body has a specific disease (cardiovascular diseases, skeletal diseases, etc.) For the cards, you would have both organ descriptions for finding the organs and separate descriptions of each disease, because the players will have to identify the disorder. The descriptions would include symptoms of each disorder and the player would have to identify that on one of the bodies and which organ it is affecting...just a suggestion but I think you should consider this. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI really like the Organ Map! It clearly shows where everything is and it's helpful when learning about the systems to have visuals. I'd say first start on the functions of the organs on the card and when you have time, add more. I know in this blog post you said you were frustrated with what to do, so I'd suggest completing the cards with their basic functions first. Either way, this project sounds really fun and I hope the board game turns out great so it can help us learn the systems in a different way! :)
